Sam Hunt, an American music artist, co-wrote and recorded the song “Take Your Time.” On November 24, 2014, MCA Nashville released it as the 2nd single from his first studio album Montevallo to country radio (2014). In the spring of 2015, Capitol Records oversaw the song’s additional marketing to pop & adult pop radio stations. In February 2015, the song earned Hunt’s second straight #1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list. Hunt, Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne wrote the song.
