“Superstar” was written by Cutfather, Joe Belmaati, and Remee, which Danish pop singer Christine Milton performed. It debuted at number one on the Danish Singles Chart for seven weeks as the lead single from her debut studio album (2004). Jamelia, a British artist, later covered the song to international acclaim.
The song was influenced by Liberty X’s “Only a Little,” according to a HitQuarters interview with co-writer and producer Cutfather (2002), “I liked that song and wanted to do something, not exactly like it, but in the same vein,” he said. 1st
